The SIP Variable Speed Midi Wood Lathe is ideal for those seeking a robust and reliable wood lathe to accurately shape, turn, drill and sand pieces to the desired specification.

A perfect starter lathe for home enthusiasts or second lathe for advanced turners making smaller pieces, its designed to maximise stability whilst turning. This includes a cast iron bed, mounted headstock and tailstock – both supplied with MT1 tapers.

Supplied with tool rest, 100mm faceplate, 4-prong drive centre and revolving tailstock centre.

The SIP Variable Speed Midi Wood Lathe is an ideal solution for those seeking a robust and reliable lathe for woodturning. Crucial to a functioning workshop, this machine tool allows a woodturner to accurately shape, turn, drill and sand workpieces to the desired specification.

The lathe has a cast iron bed for maximum stability for a mounted cast iron headstock and tailstock – both supplied with MT1 tapers. Powering the headstock is an electronic variable speed motor which runs between 500rpm and 3500rpm.

Spindle speed can be easily adjusted using the control dial for greater accuracy, whilst a digital panel displays the headstock spindle speed.
